Passionate about colour and Mid-Century design, artist Jen Felton runs Happy Retro from her studio in Edinburgh. Jen hand paints unique, geometric contemporary designs on to pieces of furniture, injecting life back into often neglected pieces.

After graduating from Edinburgh university in 2006 with a MA Hons in History of Art & Architectural History, Jen travelled, worked and dabbled in art and design before painting her first piece of retro furniture in 2012. Since then, the business has grown and Jen moved into her Edinburgh studio at Out of the Blue, Abbeymount Studios in early 2018.

Happy Retro can source and paint furniture for clients looking for that special piece, big or small. Jen also offers an up cycling service for furniture you already own, that is in need of some attention and colour.
